SADDLE MAKERS! Would you like your saddle… STRONG A combination of 6mm bull-hide and multiple laminations of yellow poplar and birch are the foundation of a strong tree. The fork and cantle are jointed to the bars and fastened together with screws. SMOOTH Wood work is finished smooth. Parts of the tree flow together. Rawhide is finished with seams hammered flat and enough nails to insure that bull-hide is down tight to the wood. This is an important step toward achieving strength and shape. NARROW SEAT Bars are designed to aid in the building a narrower seat. COMFORTABLE Well shaped cantle, STYLISH A good cowboy look. |

Swanke Saddletree Co. Our goal is to help you make the best saddle possible. With 6mm bull-hide and multiple laminations we believe our trees have strength equal to or greater than trees that are double covered, without the weight and bulk of extra rawhide. After building saddles for more than 20 years, we found it difficult to get quality saddletrees to fit our needs. The better trees on the market were few and hard to get consistently. In order to improve our saddles we began making our own. Fourteen years, and many satisfied customers later, Swanke Saddletree Co. invites you to try our trees, we are confident that you will see the difference. Swanke Saddletrees are made to your specifications for $425.00 with a 4 to 5 month turn around time. Not more can be done, not more has to be done.” – Fritz Riedl jr., Castell/ Germany |
